Smart Blind Stick
Kids OK, with an adult

DIY project. Children must build this only with an adult (16+ years) beside them at all times. Not suitable for children under 8 years.

An adult must handle and charge the Li-ion cells. This is a learning project, not a certified mobility aid.

Strictly follow the description given with this video.

Video

How it works

  1. The HC-SR04 measures the distance to whatever is ahead.
  2. The Nano shortens the gap between beeps as the distance drops.
  3. At 30 cm it gives one long beep: STOP.
  4. A protected 2× 18650 pack powers it through VIN.
